She completed a Paediatric Neuroradiology Fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Canada, in August 2022. She has further advanced her expertise through postgraduate training in both adult and paediatric neuroradiology with the European Society of Neuroradiology (ESNR).

During her fellowship at Sick Kids, Dr. Mndebele developed particular interests in fetal imaging, neonatal neuroradiology, and the application of artificial intelligence in neuroradiology. Her current clinical practice focuses on complex paediatric neuroimaging, fetal MRI, and neonatal imaging.

She also has a strong interest in medicolegal radiology, particularly the expert review and interpretation of imaging in medical negligence and litigation matters.

A committed academic, Dr. Mndebele serves as joint staff at the University of the Witwatersrand, where she is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, registrar mentoring, and research supervision. She has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in radiology and continues to contribute to research and innovation within radiology.
